By visiting and/or using the service offered on our site www.epitech.eu you agree to the collection, use and transfer of your personal data within the limits and framework defined below.

2.1 What data and how is it collected ?

In certain cases, you may be asked to leave personal data that is nominative or directly identifying (identity data, data relating to personal life, data relating to professional life such as CV, education, etc.). The compulsory or optional nature of the data is indicated at the time of collection by an asterisk.
In addition, when you visit our website and use our services, we collect and process data relating to your browsing (including cookies, your IP address, the addresses of the pages you have visited and the searches you have made), and your terminal (type of browser used, model and version of your operating system, presence of certain plug-ins, …).
With your consent, we will also perform an approximate geo-location of your home city based on your IP address.
We may publish, disclose and use aggregated and therefore non-individual and non-nominative information (data that does not allow us to identify or mention you) and non-personal information.

Cookies are small text files, stored on your browser when you visit our site and which will be used to recognize your terminal when you connect to our site or to one of our services in order to

Sirdata is a data marketing company that allows us to send you relevant offers tailored to their interests.
Sirdata’s maximum data retention period is 365 days, depending on the purpose of the processing, in accordance with the laws in force and the principle of minimization.

2.5 Our recipients

The data collected on our site is exclusively intended for Ionis Group companies and their possible subcontractors. Any transmission of this data to third party companies is subject to your prior consent.
Your data may be transmitted to our partners subject to your consent in order to display advertisements adapted to your interests and your movements.
When you contact one of our schools listed on our site, your contact data is transmitted to the professional concerned in order to finalize your communication. The professional concerned is responsible for processing the data he or she collects in the context of making an appointment (which may, depending on the type of professional, include personal data relating to your recruitment for example).
Your contributions (photos…) are also publicly accessible on our service.

2.6 Duration of conservation of your data

Your user data is kept for 3 years from the last trace of activity on your account. For security reasons, if you have not authenticated yourself on the Site for a period of three years, you will receive an e-mail inviting you to log in as soon as possible, otherwise your data will be deleted from our databases.
Your technical data  relating to your navigation is kept for the time strictly necessary for the purpose of the processing in question and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
Your data collected by cookies are kept for a maximum of 13 months after their first deposit in your terminal. This is the case for information collected with your consent. The lifetime of cookies is not extended with each visit. Your consent will be again at the end of this period.

2.7 Your rights

You have rights of access, rectification, deletion, portability, opposition and or limitation of the processing of your data, withdrawal of your consent at any time.
You may also decide to delete your account by going to the Account deletion menu in your account settings if applicable.
If you violate any provision of the TOU or any other document incorporated herein by reference, we reserve the right to terminate or restrict, without prior notice and at our sole discretion, your use of and access to the Services, your account and all Sites.

3. Our commitments in the event of a security breach

We undertake to implement all appropriate technical and organisational measures in order to guarantee a level of security adapted to the risks of accidental, unauthorised or illegal access, disclosure, alteration, loss or destruction of personal data concerning you. In the event that we become aware of unlawful access to your personal data stored on our servers or those of our service providers, or of unauthorized access resulting in the risks identified above, we undertake to
  • Notify you of the incident as soon as possible;
  • Examine the causes of the incident and inform you of them;
  • Take the necessary measures within the limits of reasonableness in order to mitigate the negative effects and prejudices that may result from the said incident
Limitation of liability: In no event shall the above commitments regarding notification of security breaches be construed as an admission of fault or liability for the occurrence of the incident in question.

4. Changes to this section

We reserve the right to change any or all of our privacy policies at any time without notice. Therefore, we advise you to regularly refer to the latest version of these rules available at all times on our Site. The modifications come into effect on the date of their posting on our Site and are enforceable on the date of your first use of it. Use of our Site constitutes full acceptance of any revision or modification of our privacy policy.

In case of modification of the present TCU, we undertake not to lower the level of confidentiality in a substantial manner without prior information of the persons concerned

We undertake to inform you in the event of substantial modification of the present TCU, and not to lower the level of confidentiality of your data in a substantial way without informing you and obtaining your consent.
