Language requirements
In which language are classes taught at EPITECH ?
Undergraduate years are taught in French, graduate years in English.
Do I need to take a French test ?
If you are applying for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year, you have to either pass the Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française (D.A.L.F.) with a minimum score of 5 or the Test de Connaissance du Français (T.C.F.) with a minimum of 6, or 5 with at least 10/20 on an optional course.
Do I need to take a French test
if my classes
were taught
in French ?
If you can provide evidence of at least 2 consecutive years within the last 5 years taught in French you do not have to take the D.A.L.F. or T.C.F. However, you need to provide an official letter from your university as proof. If you have studied less than 2 consecutive years within the last 5 years, you have to take the language test (D.A.L.F. or T.C.F.).
Does EPITECH provide French classes ?
EPITECH will provide both French language and cultural classes. These classes are compulsory for all students.
English
Do I need to take an English test ?
If you are a transfer student entering 4th or 5th year, it is compulsory for you to pass one of the following exams:
- TOEIC with a minimum of 750
- TOEFL with a minimum of 220 Computer Based, 550 Paper Based
- IELTS with a minimum of 6.00
- CAE Cambridge exam
Do I need to take an English test if my classes
were taught in English ?
If you can provide evidence of at least 2 consecutive years within the last 5 years taught in English you do not have to take the test. However, you need to provide an official letter from your university as proof. If it you have studied less than 2 consecutive years within the last 5 years, you have to take one of the above language tests.
Does EPITECH provide English classes ?
English is compulsory at EPITECH for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students. At the end of the 3rd year, students are expected to earn a 750 on the TOEIC exam. If they fail to do so, the International Admissions Office will examine each case.
